Meet Ron O’Sullivan

Astralpool's business development manager, and dedicated Heatstar sales representative.

Ron O'Sullivan will be a familiar face to many in the industry, who's position as AstralPool's business development manager sees him take both a customer focused and hands-on sales approach up and down the country, bringing over 30 years of heating and ventilation experience to the trade every day.

In his role, Ron is responsible for creating a seamless sales experience for the specification of new Heatstar systems, and providing a central point of contact to help pool installers understand the benefits that these ultra-energy efficient environmental control systems can offer. Ron works closely with Heatstar's sales and design team to ensure his primary focus is on developing partnerships with installers wishing to specify Heatstar equipment on new swimming pool applications. Ron is also available to attend a free of charge site survey for Heatstar where he can offer advice and friendly guidance on the specification of a new Heatstar system. This survey gives Heatstar the information needed to provide a more accurate quotation.

Ron has spent much of his career in the heating and ventilation and air conditioning industry working for manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung and Carrier. He specified equipment, which included air source heat pumps, ground source, reverse cycle air conditioning, fresh air ventilation and chillers for the NHS at many of the London hospitals, the Metropolitan Police, and many prestigious buildings, including the top universities in the U.K. Ron also designed, specified and installed equipment for 12 years working for himself and is proud to have been part of the team that built the London Olympic Stadium (now The London Stadium).

Ron also works closely with Heatstar in conducting specialist SPATA training courses dedicated to efficient environmental control on swimming pool applications.
The purpose of these courses is to assist engineers of the swimming pool trade in gaining the knowledge required to carry out the installation and maintenance of Heatstar systems, and is also designed to develop both technical knowledge and practical application of the technology behind the Heatstar equipment.
Since these courses started back in 2017 Heatstar and AstralPool have seen around 500 people gain certification through attendance, under the tuition of both Ron and Heatstar’s Operations Director, David Hayles.

In the United Kingdom Heatstar are proud of their long-term partnership with AstralPool UK. Since 2000 AstralPool having been providing assistance with the sales and distribution of Heatstar products, leaving Heatstar to focus on its core strengths — product development and innovation, quality manufacturing and exceptional after-sales service. A special relationship that has lasted the tests of time!
